S3 E7: Lets Talk About Porn Struggles: Ashlee Ayre
What’s up everybody and welcome back! It is great to be at BBG! Our youth feel immense pressure to be perfect and not make mistakes. And they naturally feel immense guilt when they make a mistake. One thing that most of our youth struggle with to some degree is pornography. Smart phones and social media have made it ever more accessible. It’s no longer if you see it, but when you see it. There is a misconception that this is only a boys problem when all kids struggle with it. Because of that, a lot of girls are left hiding in shame because they don’t feel like it is normal for them to struggle. News flash, its normal to struggle! And its not their fault that they are struggling. It’s time to change the stigma around making mistakes. In an effort to give some hope, I reached out to our guest today to share her story. Ashlee Ayre is an activist and child advocate who struggled with pornography for over 6 years. And her story is full of hope. And it will hopefully inspire all of us to share our struggles. Listen up, this one is going to be good.
